Our Advanced Dog Obedience course includes four comprehensive sessions, lasting an hour or more each covering all aspects of basic obedience with added focus on overcoming distractions. Together, we’ll develop a tailored plan that ensures success and meets your specific goals. Let's embark on this exciting journey to elevate your dog’s training experience!

  • We start dogs off with training as early as 8 weeks and there is no age limit on training provided your dog is in healthy condition.

  • Model K9 is proficient at training any breed

  • We typically train your dog in his or her own home because dogs train better in their natural setting.   There may be instances, however, where a park or social setting is also needed to work on specific issues you and your dog may be facing.

  • We use strictly voice commands and praise rather than outside tools because we want to actually teach your dog something rather than "baiting" or "luring" with a treat.   Secondly, treats activate the part of the brain responsible for survival not the command and concentration portion of the brain.  Third, many treats contain sugar which can create a diabetic dog.  Lastly, no one likes to carry around a bag of treats to get their dog to respond.   Therefore, we use commands working on the auditory aspect of learning.
